Bentley Batur Convertible with a folding roof unveiled in Dubai

April 17, 2025, Dubai — Against the backdrop of the Emirates' sands and the luxury of Bab Al Shams, the spectacular world premiere of the Bentley Batur Convertible took place — the third coachbuilt model in the modern history of the brand by Mulliner, crafted by hand. This car is not just open — it symbolizes the farewell to the legendary W12 engine and ushers in a new level of personalization.

Only 16 unique units will be produced, each becoming a part of automotive history. Under the hood lies the most powerful version of the 6.0-liter twin-turbo W12, delivering 750 hp and 1000 Nm. This is the final chord for the engine, marking the end of its 20-year reign.

The Shape of Freedom: Design that Inspires

The exterior of the show car displayed in Dubai impresses with its attention to detail: the deep Midnight Emerald shade pairs with High Gloss carbon elements and a striking front grille featuring a gradient from Mandarin to Beluga. The signature Batur Racing Stripe in Gloss Porpoise is complemented by contrasting Mandarin accents — all echoing the interior design.

Inside is a symphony of textures: Cumbrian Green and Porpoise leather, Mandarin stitching, titanium accents, and the signature "guitar fade" trim, shifting from glossy Beluga to carbon and back. All of this is completed by laser engraving that highlights the unique sound of the W12.

Bentley's DNA in a New Form

The Batur Convertible combines the aesthetics of the Bacalar and Batur coupe, adding the functionality of an open-top car. Designers focused on the two-seater layout with a “streamlined” cockpit form that visually wraps around the driver and passenger.

Each unit will be built individually in collaboration with the customer through the Mulliner Bespoke Studio. Personalization goes beyond the catalogue — practically every detail can be changed, from paint texture and color to interior trim and control materials.

Luxury Crafted to the Golden Standard

For the first time, 3D-printed rose gold elements are available, including the Bentley Drive Mode selector, engine start button ring, and even the Organ Stop ventilation controls. These are handcrafted by artisans from Birmingham’s historic jewellery quarter — a blend of tradition and advanced technology.

A Powerful and Noble Farewell to the W12

Each Batur Convertible will be assembled by hand over several months at Bentley’s carbon-neutral headquarters in Crewe. This is more than just a luxury car — it's a masterpiece of engineering, where the W12 reaches its pinnacle: +40% more power compared to the debut version and —25% fuel consumption.

The Batur Convertible is not just a cabriolet. It’s an emotional farewell to an era and a triumph of open-style Grand Touring — blending precision tuning, hand craftsmanship, and limitless customization.
