Ford has officially expanded the Explorer lineup by introducing the off-road Tremor trim. This version is meant to replace the discontinued Timberline and enhance the off-road capabilities of the family crossover.

The Explorer Tremor stands out with 18-inch wheels fitted with Bridgestone Dueler All-Terrain tires, black-copper (so-called “electric spice”) accents, orange tow hooks, and steel skid plates under the bumpers. The ground clearance has been increased by about 1 inch (≈ 25 mm), improving approach and departure angles for better off-road performance.

The standard Tremor comes with a 2.3-liter turbocharged four-cylinder EcoBoost engine producing around 300 hp and up to 310 lb-ft of torque. Optionally, it can be equipped with a 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged V6 EcoBoost generating up to 400 hp and 415 lb-ft — the same engine used in the Bronco and Ranger Raptor. The AWD system is paired with a Torsen limited-slip rear differential that can distribute up to 75% of torque to each rear wheel based on grip.

The interior of the Explorer Tremor features “spice”-colored contrast stitching on the seats, steering wheel, and door panels. The front seats can optionally include heating, ventilation, and massage functions. A 13.2-inch touchscreen with the Ford Digital Experience interface is placed on the center console, while a 12.3-inch digital cluster serves as the instrument panel.
Additional features include a 14-speaker Bang & Olufsen premium audio system, BlueCruise 1.5 hands-free driving system, built-in Wi‑Fi hotspot, and Google integration with Assistant, Maps, and more.

The Tremor trim is positioned between the ST and Platinum versions. It offers significantly more off-road features, such as underbody protection, reinforced suspension, and all-terrain tires. Pricing is expected to range from $41,350 (base Explorer) to around $50–55,000 for higher trims.

Additional highlights:
- Torsen limited-slip differential,

- “electric spice” design theme,
- underbody protection,
- full suite of electronic assistants (CoPilot 360, BlueCruise 1.5),
