Mazda EZ-6 Sport Edition — what makes the $24,000 sedan stand out

The Mazda EZ-6 sedan lineup has been expanded with a new version — Sport Edition. This version features a more dynamic design and is available in electrified variants. The maximum driving range reaches an impressive 1300 km. Details were reported by CarNewsChina.

On the outside, the EZ-6 Sport Edition showcases Mazda's signature sporty styling: black glossy trim accents, distinctive 19-inch alloy wheels in dark finish, and eye-catching red brake calipers that highlight the model’s dynamic look.

The interior has a premium design, combining leather and Alcantara with contrast red stitching and dark chrome decorative inserts. The cabin includes a digital instrument cluster, a 14.6-inch touchscreen, and a head-up display on the windshield.

Additional features include a panoramic sunroof, power-adjustable front seats, dual-zone climate control, adaptive cruise control, a full suite of active safety systems, and a Sony audio system with 14 speakers.

The model is offered in several versions:
The fully electric version features a 258 hp motor and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.6 seconds. Battery options include 56 or 68.8 kWh, delivering a range of 480 or 600 km, respectively.

The alternative is a plug-in hybrid with a 218-hp electric motor and a 95-hp gasoline generator. These versions can travel 130 or 200 km in all-electric mode, with fuel consumption of just 3.6 L/100 km. The total range reaches up to 1300 km.

In China, prices for the Mazda EZ-6 start at around $24,000.
